It's hard for me to believe how horrifically human beings can treat each other. How do we justify such acts as in this article described? This torture was perprated on Iraqis by Iraqis and the brutality is difficult to fathom. I do not know what the answer to such violence could be. We live in a violent world, where we concoct reasons to justify killing. I suppose this militia, like so...

Today's Olympics donation goes to Amnesty International for their continuing fight for human rights and against repression, torture and wrongful imprisonment. Meanwhile, the Olympics is on just about 24/7 here. My eyes glaze over during the unending swimming, beach volleyball and gymnastics events.
