A preview of how much our energy policies will continue to be awfully screwed up after all? Oh well .... From the NY Times: In the heart of the Corn Belt that August day, Mr. Obama argued that embracing ethanol ultimately helps our national security, because right now were sending billions of dollars to some of the most hostile nations on earth. Americas oil...

I was disappointed when I heard about the Supreme Court's decision yesterday overturning Washington, D.C.'s handgun ban. Not surprised - after all the Court is home to Antonin Scalia - just disappointed. On the other hand, I was surprised to hear they chose to rule against capital punishment for rapists. While I am all for coming down extremely hard on perpetrators of sex crimes, I do not think...the news yesterday. This morning, however, I was outraged to hear the latest statement from Barak Obama regarding these two decisions....
Democracy Dupe: Zimbabwe holds one-man election as the opposition candidate fears for his life. Axis to Allies: North Korea accepted atomic inspection yesterday and so, in a very North Korea way to symbolically step toward peace, the leaders then blew something up. Supreme Synonyms: Yesterday's Supreme Court overruling of gun control differentiates between "guns" and "dangerous and unusual... Cozy Candidates: Clinton and Obama are BFFs now. Space 'sparagus: Mars is apparently made of "the type of soil you'd probably...

It's the opposite of the 50 State strategy, and it needs to stop. A President Obama can push for change in that co...

By Candy Neville of Eugene, Oregon. Candy received 7% of the vote in the 2008 Democratic primary for the U.S. Senate. Earlier this week, she endorsed Jeff Merkley - and is now the chair of the "Merkley Campaign to Bring Troops Home". [Editor's note: This guest column originally appeared in an email to supporters of the Merkley for Oregon campaign.] Let me get this straight. Gordon Smith...John McCain and according to the Smith campaign, Barack Obama subtly gives a nod to Gordon Smith? And, Gordon Smith gives a nod to...
