This guy has been arrested for telling his kid ( his eleven year old kid, the same age as the DQ ) to walk home and leaving him at the neighborhood McDonalds (the distance was "a few blocks" ). Apparently they argued about something, he told his son to walk home, and drove home. Then he cooled off and went back and got him. They apologized to each other and he was "spoken sternly to" by a police...

Tranquil Park, near our home has been filled with hungry goats! Literally - they are chomping away at the invasive plant species such as ivy and blackberry and amusing the entire neighborhood as they do it. The fence went up...
In a few hours, your friendly neighborhood Geek will make his way to Atlanta, GA for the 2008 Dragon*Con! Oh yea, 72 hours of gaming, sugar, dice, coffee, BSG cast stalking, Cheetos, Adam "not the Goddamn Batman" West, and doing my best not to get pwned by some 10 year-old at Magic: The Gathering. Whenever another dog makes the slightest sound anywhere in our neighborhood, she answers back with a deep and joyful BAAH ROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOH! BAAH ROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOH! is pretty much her response to every situation: People walking on the public road on one side of our yard, BAAH ROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOH! Rose munching deer,...

Last night's exotic adventure in a troubled Albany neighborhood was frightening. The first time I met last night's combatants, three days ago, another resident of the neighborhood, for whom I'd taken in two cats to be fixed, was with me. She had wanted to go door to door to find unfixed cats. So we did. I met her through a friend of hers living in a low income complex not that far away....
