It has been reported that Nate Costa will miss at least 8-10 weeks to surgically repair damaged cartilage in his left knee. I feel sorry for Nate, he has gone through the ringer with injuries. Sunday, August 24th
Since Nate and I moved back to Astoria, we both knew that it was time for us to try again to add to this family. We went off birth control in June and I am now somewhere between 7 weeks and 12 weeks pregnant! I am such a nut sometimes, I don't keep track of stuff that I don't care about. Thus, I did not keep any track of the "last period". There are reports coming out that Nate Costa was injured in practice yesterday afternoon. Coach Mike Bellotti is scheduled to have a news conference later today. Reports are coming from here and here. Hopefully he will be alright. GO DUCKS!...

95.5 the game just came out with breaking news that Nate Costa suffered a knee injury in practice last night. They didn't know which knee or the severity, but said that an athletic department source described it as "potentially serious." They'll get more from Bellotti in a conference call tonight. Wednesday, August 20th
We've all kind of figured since spring ball that Nate Costa was the starting quarterback. In spite of Justin Roper's great bowl performance, Costa just always seemed to have more tools (namely, a pair of legs) that fit our offense. That the coaching staff called him the 'heir apparent' did little to quell those thoughts. So what are we to make of this? Roper has apparently 'closed the gap'...
