I Love The MountainsI heard this song when I was watching a commercial on the Discovery Channel the other day and thought it would be fun to add a collage of ManCamp photos to it. Enjoy!...

First of all, NewsBusters is claiming that Google, through Blogger, is censoring anti-Obama sites. Labeling them as spam and disabling their ability to post. Undoubtedly false. Google would never allow this. Also this story is pretty funny of people tagging up to 60 vehicles with anti Obama sayings and racial slurs in Florida.... the thing is they spelled his name incorrectly nearly...

HOORAH! for the sunshine! HOORAH! for the weekend! Okay, so I was very excited and posted a few posts ago about how cool I thought Google Reader was. I still think it's cool, but my Google Reader has gotten out of hand. It's now telling me that I have 1000+ new items to read. There are so many articles that it has given up and just added the + symbol. That's out of control! I can't read that many...

If you make friends with the science teacher at school, chances are you're going to end up babysitting the class fish for the summer. This will baffle you and your children. * your husband...

Keeping a good rep.... Google style. Google's employee perks – from providing "nap pods" for a quick break during the day to allowing engineers to spend 20 per cent of their work time on side projects that may spark new ideas – have given the Internet leader the best reputation in corporate America, according to a new study. On the other hand, there has been a tumble in the popularity of...

While working on a possible paper, I came across this book: The Nature of Homosexuality by Erik Holland (Google Books, Amazon.com). At first, I thought this might be an interesting read. Instead, I found it to be a conservative, pseudo-scientific, self-published, poorly written account of homosexuality as "natural" but still "abnormal." Hiding ignorance and hatred behind science is always fun. My...

Google announced yesterday it is making available another free tool, this one for media planners and buyers. Ad Planner will provide media planners demographic and traffic information for target websites. Frankly, I haven't tried the tool yet, and this is not another post about Google taking over the world. What struck me as I read the news in today's New York Times is one short sentence:...

Google Releases Map Maker - What about OpenStreetMap?Google has officially released Map Maker [via Google Lat Long], a collaborative set of tools that allow users to contribute data for use in countries/regions where Google Maps does not have very good data/coverage. This is taking the concept of crowd-sourcing even more mainstream than the Big G’s efforts in India. At present, the list of countries where Map Maker can be used is...
