OK, so I didn't plan to have that bottle of Dos Equis hanging there on the left side of the photo. In fact I had absolutely no idea that it was there when I went looking for X photos a little while ago. It was the metal bands that make up the big head, criss-crossing themselves into a plethora of Xs that I wanted to find among my thousands of phot. I mean, I took these photos last October,...filed under: abc

This morning I walked east to a bus stop three blocks from our apartment, instead of waiting for the bus at the closer stop. About half a block from that corner, I stopped to take this photo, something I've been wanting to try, to see if I could get the camera to see what I see. What a wonderful canopy of leaves and its myriad shades of green! Right now I could get up from my little iBook...Monday, June 23rd
When Digs called me on Thursday saying she had a free airline ticket and asking if I wanted to use it to go to San Diego that weekend, it took me about 0.3 seconds to whisper loudly into the phone "OHMYHOLYSHITAREYOUF---ING KIDDINGME?YES!" We were being VERY discreet as we whispered and worked out the details. (Both of our employers are conservative finance-y type places, and we...Chronic Ear Infections: In recent years, Australia has been struggling with the following problem. The Northern Territory has the highest rates of ear disease in the world. Two-thirds of all Indigenous children there have hearing problems by the time they start school. About half of them will end up with permanently perforated ear drums as a result of chronic ear infections. The two bacteria...
