How To Participate at ORblogs
ORblogs only works because weblog authors from around the state have made the choice to participate at this site. Without them, this site wouldn't exist. If you'd like to join in, take a look through the ways you can participate below. If your questions aren't answered here, feel free to ask a question via email.
So, what's in it for me?
If you like to read weblogs, ORblogs is the place to see what your neighbors are talking about. Sure, the web lets us read what people care about in New York, California, or Nebraska—but you won't find bits of local news, pointers to local events, or get a feel for the diversity of opinion in your own backyard without reading locally.
If you write a weblog here in Oregon, ORblogs is a chance to put your words in front of a group of highly-connected Oregonians. By joining in the larger Oregon conversation, you might make some local connections across town—or across the state—that you could otherwise miss.

I have an Oregon weblog
If you're in Oregon, have a weblog, and you'd like to list your weblog with ORblogs.com, there are three quick steps you can take:
- First, add your weblog to the directory.
- Then, add some specific meta tags to your weblog's HTML to let others know where you live, and/or what your site is about.
- Finally, notify this site whenever you add a new post. (If you want.)

I want to start a weblog
Blogger is a good place to start. It's a free service, and even gives you free web space for your weblog. Once you sign up there and get your blog rolling, be sure to stop back here and add your blog to the ORblogs directory.
