Image via WikipediaI've received a comment or two regarding my last post on getting more water to the gardens from the shower and the kitchen sink.Technically, this is classified as gray water. Via Wikipedia...is non-industrial wastewater generated from domestic processes such as dish washing, laundry and bathing. It may contain food particles, soap, hair, cosmetics, and skin oil residue. In...

Image via Wikipedia There is plenty of speculation that water will become the new oil, that is, the supply of clean, safe, drinkable water could become constrained, causing economic and financial difficulties all about. If you live in the Southeast US, I'm sure this is already pressing on your mind. Done I mentioned last week, I've started to use a bucket to capture the water from the sink that...

I've made no secret that we have too much stuff and no storage capability to manage it all. In a past post , maybe I exaggerated a bit by using the word "Urgent", but still, too much stuff and no place to put it all. There have been a few bursts of getting stuff posted on Craigslist and Ebay, a few small trips to Goodwill, but nothing to write home about. The stuff sitting around had well...

The debt can be partially explained by our trip to California to visit family and visit Disneyland. But I need to dig into the numbers and figure out where we are over-spending. We have two cards with revolving debt. An Amex with 0% through January, and a Hawaiian Air Visa. A...

A lot can be gained by trying a new habit for 30 days. Morgan Spurlock made it famous with his documentary, "Super Size Me", and his subsequent docu-series on cable, "30 Days". (Did you see the premiere of season three, 30 days as a coal miner? He's right, most people don't know much more about mining than cave-ins and black lung.) Steve Pavlina, over at his personal development blog,...

Image by ATMB via FlickrSo, I caved and picked up a Wii Fit the other day. It was a marvel that there was one available on the shelf, so the impulse to buy it was a little stronger. We'd read about it, saw all of the buzz about it, so figure, what the heck, why not. And, it comes with the four batteries that you need for the board! Set it up, and put the game in, synchronized with the board,...posted on The Enobling Journey in Portland - 6/3 - 10:47 PM - [2 clicks]
