Tiger collograph, originally uploaded by knitterkate. It took me about an hour and a half to build the plate for this series of collographs. I used a mat board, duct tape, manila file folders , and masking tape. The printing took about five minutes. Definitely a job for the process-oriented....

I used 2.5 skeins of Noro Kochoran on size 10 needles and cut out a few repeats as the yarn is bulky. The angora kept getting up my nose, so I knew early on that this wrap was not for me. I'm off to attend the Maryhill Museum Summer Art Institute. Their focal point of the week will be "Andy Warhol and Other Famous Faces", and I expect to get lots of hands-on experience with printmaking. Lots of theatre, music, food, and, of course, art for sale. The children's art area is fantastic and Bush's Pasture Park is gorgeous.
