As of today...Update #1: How are the worms, Lisa? Casey the Cat and I checked out the vermicomposter this morning. The worms are alive and doing their job. When I opened up the lid, under which resides two months worth of old slimy food, I didn't smell or see two months worth of old slimy food. It smelled like nothing, actually, and the soil was nice and black and crumbly. Today's lunch special consists of...

Will be vs. amAnother cute little weed that's popped up in our lawn. I have no idea what it is, again. I'm about to go try the easier ten minutes of meditation, although I'm obliged to do the scary thirty-minute variety two more times this week. Then I only have about thirty minutes before my kindergarten-age nephew comes over to spend six or seven hours with us. Next I only have about three more days before...

Path to an AssKickingAhh, lovely photo. Calm. Peace. Tranquility. A sacred path to enlightenment. Like being held gently to the very bosom of God. She has wonderful and eclectic taste, the kind I wish I could open up and let out for my yard....

I have to admit, it's getting betterDay 2: Rosie's coming out of hiding. She's an aggressively friendly little thing. She just wants love. She wants to give love and she wants to get love. Love, love, love. Love is all you need. She and Casey the Cat are coming to an understanding. The hissing has subsided, and the couple of swats Casey gave her today were actually returned. I think Casey was impressed. The two cats like to sit...

Where the halibut am I?We brought Rosie the Cat home today. She's a little concerned. Really, she wants to cuddle and sit on laps, but then the darn dog and the hissing King Cat come along and rattle her. Actually, Jeff the Dog is keeping his respectful distance, although I know he would adore sticking his schnoz under her tail. He's actually a smart little cookie, and he understands what cats can do to doggie noses....
